The Path to Wellness is Guided by the Wisdom of the Body

There is an undeniable link between the body and mind. Somatic therapy utilizes this connection as a tool to heal from trauma, strengthen resilience, and create total self wellness.

What is somatic therapy?

Somatic therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the connection between the mind and body in the healing process. It recognizes that emotional, psychological, and even spiritual issues can manifest in physical sensations and bodily experiences. Somatic therapists believe that by exploring and addressing these bodily sensations, individuals can achieve profound healing and transformation.

How does it work?

Unlike traditional talk therapies that primarily rely on verbal communication, somatic therapy incorporates various techniques to engage the body in the therapeutic process. These techniques may include mindfulness practices, breathwork, gentle movement, and body awareness exercises. Through these practices, individuals learn to tune into the sensations of their bodies, identify areas of tension or discomfort, and release stored emotions and trauma.

Is somatic therapy right for you?

Somatic therapy can be for everyone. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, or simply seeking a deeper connection with yourself, somatic therapy offers a safe and nurturing space for healing and growth.

Somatic therapy might be right for you if you feel stuck in patterns of behavior or thoughts, you struggle with chronic stress, tension, or pain, you've experienced trauma or adverse life events, or you're seeking a holistic approach to healing and personal growth.
